WAGO EPSITRON Power Supplies

EPSITRON®  IP67 Power Supply

WAGO - Epistron IP67WAGO's newest product brings energy directly where it is needed thanks to a robust design and high degree of protection.

Even under extreme environmental conditions, WAGO's new EPSITRON® IP67 Power Supply performs reliably while withstanding humidity and dust thanks to an IP67-grade design. The device is designed for efficiently supplying distributed loads with 24 VDC.

Additional Features:

  • Compact, space-saving design for on-site installation.
  • Up to 92.3% efficiency for economical operation over a long service life.
  • Rapid, tool-free wiring with 7/8″ screw-clamp connections.
  • Active power factor correction for drawing clean sinusoidal power from the grid.
  • Effective water splash protection for use in harsh industrial environments.

EPSITRON® COMPACT Power Supplies (787 Series)

WAGO_Compact_PS.jpgCompact, high-performance power supply in DIN-rail mount enclosure. Low-profile, single-phase power supplies with wide input voltage range, as well as 12V and 24V output voltages.

Installation depth is often restricted for both building and industrial applications. DIN 43880 specifies built-in equipment dimensions for installation in distribution and meter boards. COMPACT Power Supplies meet these requirements with a height of just 55mm from upper-edge of carrier rail – width and profile also comply to this standard.

WAGO's compact but powerful 787-10xx Power Supplies (30W, 60W and 100W) provide 12 and 24VDC output voltage. Front-panel status indication, maintenance-free CAGE CLAMP® connection, adjustable output voltage, constant current operation in case of overload, as well as overhead installation capability are only some of the benefits. Thus, WAGO's COMPACT Power Supplies allow distributed control systems to be supplied in flat distribution boxes or operator panels.

EPSITRON® ECO Power Supplies (787 Series)

WAGO_ECO_PS.jpgEPSITRON® ECO Power Supplies are an economical alternative for applications that simply require 24VDC without additional functions.

In many applications, only 24VDC is required, without additional functions. Here, the ECO power supplies are an economical alternative. Packaged in a flat and solid metal housing, output currents of 2.5A, 5A or 10A are provided. ECO Power Supplies lower project and operating costs with advanced features including: LED status indication, front-panel adjustable output voltage, efficiency levels up to 82% and maintenance-free CAGE CLAMP® terminations.

EPSITRON® PRO Power Series (787 Series)

WAGO_Pro_PS.jpgApplications with high output requirements call for professional power supplies capable of reliably handling power peaks. The PRO series of power supplies is ideally suited for such applications.

Professional and Efficient Power Supplies with Extra Power

Applications with high output requirements call for professional power supplies capable of reliably handling power peaks. These applications call for PRO power supplies, which provide 24VDC with nominal output currents of 5A to 40A in a slim vertical- or horizontal-mount housing. An integrated PowerBoost function provides 200% of the rated current for up to 4 seconds, enabling start-up or switching of capacitive loads, valve clusters or motors. The TopBoost function provides sufficient power with a multiple of the rated current for up to 50ms, permitting use of standard circuit breakers for output protection. An optional LineMonitor provides easy parameter setting and monitoring of input and output. This eliminates redundant devices, such as phase and frequency monitoring units, as well as operational hour meters in control cabinets. The PRO family of power supplies set a new standard in energy-efficiency with up to 93% efficiency and a stand-by mode.

EPSITRON® CLASSIC Power Supplies (787 Series)

WAGO_Classic.jpgBoth wide-range input and a comprehensive range of approvals allows the redesigned CLASSIC Power Supplies to be used in a wide variety of applications.

WAGO's redesigned 787-16xx Series CLASSIC Power Supplies are particularly slim, allowing for space-saving applications. With a nominal rating of ≥ 120 W, these units feature an integrated TopBoost function and supply a brief power surge in the event of a secondary short circuit, providing reasonably priced secondary fusing. All 14 power supplies have a robust metallic or plastic housing and feature a large ambient temperature range of -25 to +70 °C, making them ideal for a wide range of applications. The have output nominal voltages of 12 V, 24 V and 48 V DC, and capacities of 25 W to 480 W. The units can also be employed in homes and near residential areas thanks to their DIN EN 60335-1 conformity.

EPSITRON® – Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS)

WAGO_UPS.jpgWith the 787-870 UPS Management Module and the connected battery modules, unpredictable power failures are a thing of the past.

Unpredictable power failures are a nightmare for any machine or equipment operator. If a PLC is suddenly shut down due to a power failure, loss of production data (e.g., formulations or protocols) may follow. To prevent these losses, the Uninterruptible Power Supply, consisting of UPS Charger and Controller (787-870 or 787-875) and one or more connected batteries, reliably power the application for several hours. The charging voltage for the connected battery is temperature-controlled, significantly extending the battery's service life and minimizing maintenance costs. The UPS module supports complete current and voltage monitoring while featuring numerous signaling options via display and RS-232 interface.

EPSITRON® Electronic Circuit Breakers (787 Series)

WAGO_ECB.jpgSpace-saving electronic circuit breakers provide reliable protection at a top price/performance ratio.

WAGO's 787 Series EPSITRON® Circuit Breakers offer both outstanding features and reliable protection against overload and short circuits. The individual circuit breakers have a switch-on capacity of 20,000 μF (787-86x) or 50,000 μF (787-166x) and higher, which is provided without having to increase the nominal current setting. Four-channel units with 1 - 6 A, 1 - 8 A and 1 - 10 A current ratings (787-86x), or two-, four- and eight-channel models with 0.5 - 6 A, 1 - 6 A and 2 - 10 A current ratings (787-166x) offer you the flexibility you need for setting the nominal current for your individual applications. The trip current can be set for each channel using a rotary switch, and some devices also feature active current limitation.

EPSITRON® – Capacitive Buffer Modules (787 Series)

WAGO_CBM.jpgCapacitive buffer modules guarantee trouble-free operation of machines or systems even in the event of brief power supply failures.

Brief power supply failures jeopardize the trouble-free operation of machines/systems. The power supply buffer times of select applications can be considerably extended via capacitive buffer modules. These modules have power reserves that may be required when starting heavy loads or triggering a fuse. The 787-880 and 787-881 Buffer Modules contain completely maintenance-free “gold caps” that store energy and provide output power for 400ms. Buffer times up to several seconds can be easily achieved by connecting the modules in parallel or adjusting the output current.

EPSITRON® Redundancy Modules

WAGO_Red.jpgRedundancy modules are ideal for reliably increasing power supply availability.

WAGO's 787-885/-886 Series (PRO Power) and 787-783/-785 Series (ECO Power) EPSITRON® Redundancy Modules feature two high-power diodes each rated at 20 A (787-885, -886) or 12.5 A (787-783) and 40 A (787-785). They are used to decouple two power supplies connected in parallel. Therefore, connecting two equally rated power supplies allows machine or system reliability to be increased. The redundancy modules also provide extra output power by connecting two power supply units in parallel.
