F160 Vision Sensor... |
|
The F160 enlists
high speed, two-camera image capture. Advanced vision algorithm
processing like Quest OCR, "variable box" technology and
"flexible search" is used to address more complex applications
with greater precision. The on-screen menu system offers the "wizard"
menu for beginners and the "expert" menu for those with
more experience. The use of Flash-RAM memory cards expands the memory
capacity to handle multiple product lines.

| Extra-wide
Field of View Camera Head for F10 Pattern Matching Sensor... |
|
The F10-S50R
camera head has an extra wide sensing area which allows larger objects
and label areas to be inspected using the same powerful grayscale
vision-based pattern matching. The camera head is easy to use and
has one-button teaching setup on the F10 amplifiers.

| E3Z-B
Pet Bottle and Transparent Material Sensor... |
|
Omron developed
the E3Z-B PET (polyethylene terephthalate) Bottle Detector to address
a 50% demand in Japan and a skyrocketing market demand in Europe
and the U.S. Many beverage companies have recently switched from
glass and other plastic materials to PET bottles for their products.
These manufacturers will be faced with a technical challenge when
it comes to reliably sensing the transparent PET bottles, especially
those with thin walls, square cross sections, varying shapes and
sizes, and even those that have to be stacked. Omron has developed
a solution utilizing a unique optics design called "Inner View",
that enables the E3Z-B to reliably perform on the customer's production
line. Click here to find out more
about this sensor.

| E3Z-TA
Visible Red LED Through-Beam Sensor... |
|
The E3Z-TA has
been developed to help reduce the installation time and maintenance
costs typically required to set up through-beam sensors. With the
pin-point LED and integrated IC design, longer sensing distances
(10m) can be achieved using a visible red LED as opposed to the
standard IR type. Read more

| S82J
Provides DIN Rail Mount & Universal Input Capability... |
|
These new models
will replace the 120 VAC and 240 VAC input models currently available
from Omron. The DIN rail mounting models have a built-in bracket
model for easy installation without ordering a separate bracket.
New models are UL508 approved and can be used at 100% load in UL508A
Industrial Control Panel applications. Class 2 output is suitable
for DC input sensors and use in DeviceNet applications. Click
here for further key features and benefits of the S82J family.

| E5ZN
Modular Temperature Controller... |
|
Omron's E5ZN
Dual Loop DIN-Rail Mountable Temperature Controller - key features:
Two loops
(inputs/outputs) per controller
Up to 16 controllers (32 loops) can be stacked together for
maximum flexibility
DIN-Rail mountable for mounting in panels
Thin width of only 22.5 mm saves space
RS-485 serial communications allow these controllers to communicate
with OCs and PLCs for total system integration
Quick-connect connectors make stacking controllers easy and
minimize wiring for communication and supply power; autotuning is
standard
3 year warranty

Tip... |
|
Even though
summer has left us and we are approaching the cooler months, humidity
can still be a problem.
When humidity
is high, the air around us acts like a sponge and absorbs moisture.
When this air is compressed by your plant air compressor, the moisture
in the air is also compressed. Because of the heat of compression,
this moisture stays in suspension.
As air flows from the compressor it begins to cool and water vapor
condenses (also referred to as the dewpoint.) The lower the
dewpoint, the more water will be removed. Air
dryers
reduce the dewpoint levels. This removes the moisture that can
shorten component life and cause rust in air lines, which in turn
can lead to clogging and contribute to costly downtime.
